This policy explains what personal information [Cornermark legal entity] (“Cornermark”, “we”, “us”) collects through cornermarkpartners.com (the “site”), what we do with it, and the choices you have. It covers the site only. If you become a client, the information we handle in that work is governed by our engagement agreement with you.
Who we are
[Cornermark legal entity] [Address] Email: [privacy@cornermarkpartners.com]
We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy (under EU and UK law, we are the “controller”).
What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name, work email, company name, and whatever you write in your message.
When you book a call: your name, email address, and the time you choose. Bookings are handled by a third-party scheduling service on our behalf. The booking page may ask for anything else you choose to add, such as a note about what you want to discuss.
When you email us or speak with us: the content of that correspondence.
When you visit the site: we use an analytics service that does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies and does not build a profile of you. It gives us aggregate figures, such as page views, referring sites, and country, so we can see which pages are useful. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
What we do not collect through the site: we do not ask for, and you should not send us, financial records, account data, passwords, tax identifiers, or other sensitive information through the contact form or booking page. Client financial data is exchanged only after an engagement begins, through the channels set out in that engagement. We do not use advertising cookies or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Information used | Legal basis (EU/UK visitors) |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your message and follow up on your inquiry | Contact form and email details | Our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract |
| Schedule and hold the call you booked | Booking details | Steps you ask us to take before entering a contract |
| Understand how the site is used and improve it | Aggregate analytics | Our legitimate interest in running a useful website |
| Keep the site secure and working | Server logs | Our legitimate interest in protecting the site |
| Meet legal obligations and protect our rights | Any of the above, as needed | Legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in establishing or defending legal claims |
We will not add you to a marketing list because you filled in the form or booked a call. If we ever send marketing emails, we will ask first or give you a clear way to opt out, as the law requires.
We may use software tools, including AI tools, to help us organize and respond to inquiries. Those tools are provided by service providers acting on our instructions, as described below. We do not use the site to make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Website hosting provider: serves the site and keeps server logs.
- Scheduling service: handles call bookings and calendar invitations.
- Email provider: carries and stores our email.
- Analytics provider: produces the aggregate site statistics described above.
These providers process information on our behalf and under contract. We may also disclose information to our professional advisers, when required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a successor if our business is reorganized or sold, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
Where it is processed
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EU or UK, your information is transferred to the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum) or a provider’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and booking records that do not lead to an engagement: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, usually no more than [30] days.
- Analytics: kept only in aggregate form that does not identify you.
- If you become a client: records are kept as set out in our engagement agreement and as the law requires.
We may keep information longer if we need it to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, and we limit access to the people and providers who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [privacy@cornermarkpartners.com] and we will respond.
California residents
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. In the past 12 months, we have collected these categories of personal information through the site: identifiers (name, email address, and IP address in server logs), professional information (company name), and internet activity (pages viewed, in server logs and aggregate analytics). We collect them from you directly and from your use of the site, for the purposes listed in “Why we use it”, and we disclose them only to the service providers listed above. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law.
You have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to;
- get a copy of that information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete it, subject to exceptions allowed by law; and
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. We still honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out.
To make a request, email [privacy@cornermarkpartners.com]. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We will need to verify your identity, usually by matching the email address you used with us. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that the agent is authorized to act for you.
EU and UK visitors
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on our legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office), though we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
Children
The site is for businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites and services, including the scheduling service. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. We will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect.
